Ninth: Three Gorges

Three Gorges refers to Hubei Province, Chongqing Municipality, between the Qutang, Wu Gorge and Xiling Yangtze River from Chongqing City West Fengjie County, east of Yichang City, Hubei Province, a total length 205 km. From west to east, there are three major Valley Zone: Qutang, Wu Gorge and Xiling Gorge. Three hence the name. Three cross-strait confrontation mountains, steep cliffs, peaks generally higher than the river 1000 --- 1500 meters. Narrowest point less than meters. Three Gorges is due to the rise of the crust, cut the Yangtze River water under the formation of the strong. Water resources are very rich.
